Hyunjo Eum - Bibimbap

I am Hyunjoo (pronounced similar to “hiən-jü “). I was born and raised by a father who loved food and by a mother who catered to his desire for good food. Like most Koreans, food is an essential source of joy in my life. I was pleasantly surprised to see Korean sauces and kimchi on local supermarket shelves and now would like to introduce a traditional Korean dish you can make using those ingredients. Coincidentally, my mom, who has helped develop my taste for good Korean food, was in town and joined this multicultural kitchen supervising “authenticity”. I enjoyed chopping and mixing joy and food with everyone.” The name of the dish we made is “Bi-Bim-Bap, rice mixed with assorted vegetables”.

Tina Lee - Gimbap and Doenjang

My name is Tina Lee from Korea, and I am the mom of two kids. Also, I work at a ski school and a swimming pool. When I am cooking this dish, it makes me think of my mom, who always wakes up early and makes gimbap for me when I come back from the school field trip.
