Mexico
My name is Paola and I am originally from Mexico. I was born and raised in Mexico City until I was 14 when my stepdad brought us to Canada. I am now a mother living in Whistler. I feel very blessed to be part of this beautiful community and be able to have my daughter Lola grow up here. It is important to me to include her in as much as possible of what I do and that includes cooking. Making tortillas together is something we do regularly. It allows me to share some of our culture, as well as allow her the opportunity to help with preparing our meals in a fun and safe way. We are both very much looking forward to sharing our tradition with all of you.”
My name is Cesar i have a bachelor in Hospitality Management and a diploma in Mexican Cuisine, I work as a Catering supervisor in Whistler Cooks and I love to cook, especially Mexican food and show the world why it is one of the cuisines recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Cooking Mexican food especially in the independence day is the way that i have to keep alive the traditions in my Country.
